My first Artifacts Of Horror Jam submission! Design process and notes.

Hi, gamers! This is my first submission to the very cool Artifacts Of Horror Jam

For anyone interested in my design process, I used trusty old Canva to custom create a landscape-oriented A5 sheet. I then uploaded an accidentally spooky picture I’d taken of the trees near my house, before drafting out the text and figuring out which format (font + background) best showcased the journal-style entry I wanted to send in. I played around with framing the photo but remembered that this is supposed to be from the 1990s, not the 1970s, lol. Finally, I stripped some of the orange light out of the original photo, darkened the background a bit and enhanced the shadows, upping the contrast between the dark branches and that weird collection of lighter ones in the middle. Et voila: a creepy photo-journal entry of what our unnamed investigator found after following the endless strings of white yarn into the woods one afternoon!

I also included a fairly comprehensive text description of the graphic in a separate txt file, to help improve this asset's accessibility. At time of writing, I've just posted my second submission to the jam, tho still need to work on that devlog too. For the record, tho these assets were created for the upcoming game,  they're free for use in your home games, as well. While this asset is copyrighted, you are welcome to use it under  the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

Let me know if you do use this photo-journal entry for your home tabletop rp, and happy gaming!
