As the year's next equinox approaches, the High Queen of the Fae makes a declaration: it’s long past time to turn your court to its other face. As one of Her Majesty's subjects, do you embrace this change or resist it? What adventures will you have in the turmoil brought by change?
In this GM-less storytelling game for 1-6 players, you’ll begin by playing fae on the cusp of turning courts. To play, you will need a Tarot deck and at least one six-sided die (d6), or online equivalents. If playing solo, a method of recording your game is recommended.
The 66-page guidebook features
- Versatility: Equinox was specially designed to work just as well solo as it is with a group, using a Tarot deck of your choice to guide your story.
- Creativity: Choose from 12 fae heritages with unique abilities, with additional story and character guidelines to make your own. Further customize your characters with Tarot draws and Six Element-based attribute points.
- Robustness: Go as light or crunchy as you like when resolving conflict or combat, relying on card draws or the unique "check or cap" dice + attribute system that encourages characters to try new things. Use whatever combination of draws and/or dice that makes sense for you!
- Utility: Contents include a character sheet you can copy for each player, a Major Arcana tracker and sample plays to better illustrate mechanics and options.
- Opportunity: Learn more about interpreting Tarot through creative play! Use the included Tarot Tables to guide your story and help you make choices for your characters.
Equinox is the first full Six Elements game to be released, after the companion game Spellbook.
This game was created for #FaeJam2021 and was successfully Kickstarted in March 2022. Late pledge access to both hardcover and softcover copies of the game coming soon!

Yes! Once itch releases the download keys for my KS backers, I will add the associated community copies: just want to make sure my backers get their files first. Hopefully, itch won't take much longer to get back to me re: the keys!
