Wow, almost a whole month of entries done for my floating city! I'm a little surprised that I've only managed to discuss two districts, the protective force and an outside threat so far, but also pleased that I've been able to write so much.

This week focuses more on the Sea Wardens and their district.

I wanted to establish the chain of command here, which is a flattened version of the Royal Malaysian Navy's. This is in large part due to the fact that the Sea Wardens are more of a Coast Guard service. Hilariously, I decided to look up the Malaysian Coast Guard while I typed this, and am pleasantly surprised by the similarities of their choices and my own. I do think I'll rewrite the titles to Kadet and Kapitan, tho, in keeping with their linguistic origins (and especially because in upcoming weeks I do use the ch pronunciation for the letter C when naming things.)

It's important to me to note that each district, with few exceptions (like the public docks,) is almost entirely self-sufficient. The Sea Wardens'  is even more so, with large-scale water purification and food production facilities. I didn't super want to overhead map it, as I really enjoyed doing the side view/landscape of my setting from the first week's entry. I might change my mind about that in future, but I kinda like leaving it open-ended. My only regret is that I didn't have time to use any colors or inks on this rendition.

Next week, I spend way too much time talking about the Lighthouse and the possible secrets within.  The exterior of this building is modeled after the  Teluk Telaga lighthouse on Pulau Langkawi, tho this version is meant to be taller and bigger. And possibly pinker, I'm honestly not sure yet. It's like a mini-dungeon, only in a tall building!
